Dear colleagues For administrative reasons it has been necessary to move the
"Identity and Identification in Antiquity" conference, scheduled for 7 to 9 April
2009, to a new venue. The conference is now going to take place at Florida
International University in Miami. This change of venue has occasioned a number of
cancellations by speakers whose papers had already been accepted. The organisers
have therefore decided to launch this second call for papers to possibly fill some
of the now newly available slots in the conference line-up. Indeed we hope that the
change of venue to Miami may make it possible for some colleagues to attend, who
initially had perhaps been reluctant to submit an abstract for a conference held at
a university to which travel would have been rather long and rather expensive. I am
aware that with only two months before the conference convenes this is rather short
notice, but I would be really glad to receive your abstract and
provide you with a decision on acceptance more or less immediately. Please see the
attached document for full details, including a list of confirmed speakers. The
conference website is in the process of updating to reflect the new organisation
and venue of the conference, please be patient. Given the short notice the late
registration fee has been cancelled. All the best, Hartmut Ziche --- Department
